Kids Who Code Summer 2023 - Ripley Center
CodeCrew is dedicated to making computer science and coding accessible to everyone. We believe that today’s youth have the power to shape the future and that coding is a key skill in this process.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between technology and education. We were able to partner with the University of Tennessee at Martin - Ripley Center for a week-long Coding camp where we provide students with hands-on experience and the tools they need to become successful tech innovators.

Activities
Our solar system consists of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity – the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune; dwarf planets such as Pluto; dozens of moons; and millions of asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. Beyond our own solar system, we have discovered thousands of planetary systems orbiting other stars in the Milky Way.
Sphero BOLT is a game-changing tool that empowers students to explore their creativity, coding skills, and inventiveness. With its advanced sensors, programmable LED matrix, and innovative technology, Sphero BOLT is the perfect way to integrate some fun into learning
Save the Galaxy provides students with instruction for block-based game development. This skillmap walks through beginner/intermediate game development concepts, teaching them in a beginner-friendly way.
All colors, whether they have names or not, can be described by the level of red, green, and blue light it takes to make them. This is called an RGB value (short for Red-Green-Blue) Color Wheel App and try out different RGB values and see what colors they make. The sliders adjust the levels of red, green, and blue, and the mixer shows you how they combine to make different colors
